Africa's Wealth
Africa's Riches and the Global Impact
Africa is endowed with wealth far surpassing that of any other continent, making it both vulnerable and envied by the world. Unfortunately, deceit has become a common tactic for foreign nations to rob Africa and its people of their rightful resources. As a result, both the land and its inhabitants have endured significant losses due to the actions of these nations.
Imagine what the world would look like if Africa and all its resources vanished for a period of time. According to Google, “A day without Africa would erase the bedrock of global civilization, technology, and economy.” The absence of African resources would halt transportation, communication, and the production of electronics, coffee, and cocoa. The mining of diamonds, cobalt, gold... Additionally, the invaluable contributions from the people in history and present day, such as advancements in mathematics, medicine, architecture, ensalvement, and even the zoo animals. The absence of Africa's contributions would trigger a collapse of modern infrastructure worldwide.
Despite being the wealthiest continent, Africa produces the least amount of wealth for its indigenous peoples. As Malcolm X eloquently stated in his 1946 speech, “The Ballot or the Bullet,” referring to Black Americans: “You been took, you been hoodwinked, bamboozled, led astray, run amok!” This sentiment equally applies to our brothers and sisters of the Motherland. It is crucial that we reprogram, reeducate, and rededicate ourselves for our own uplift.
ABC African Adventures: A Path to Knowing
ABC African Adventures serves as an educational resource that highlights some of the contributions of Africa. In the film, The Lion King, Mufasa teaches Simba about his kingdom, stating, “everything the light touches,” emphasizing that a king's duty is to protect and respect the land and maintain its true cycle not abuse and destroy it. Americans of African descent, were initially forced to abandon their kingdoms through the horrors of slavery. Since then, many have chosen to abandon the continent willingly, perhaps due to a lack of education or brainwashing.
The ABC African Adventures collection, including a storybook, a workbook, a puzzle, and a set of Africana Learning Cards. It's suitable for all ages, making them timeless tools for learning. They were created to ignite an interest in discovering the real Africa, not the distorted version historically encountered.
